Arrival in Leh and acclimatisation
Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh (3,500 m). Your Lizzan team meets you with a warm welcome. Rest is mandatory — no sightseeing today. Take a short walk around Leh Market and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa
After acclimatisation, visit the 17th-century Leh Palace perched above the old city, Namgyal Tsemo Gompa monastery at sunrise, and the gleaming white Shanti Stupa with panoramic valley views.

Sangam — Indus and Zanskar river confluence
Drive to Sangam, where the blue Zanskar River meets the green Indus. Stop at Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Hall of Fame museum, and the 7th-century Spituk Monastery on the return.

Khardung La — the world's highest motorable pass
Drive over Khardung La Pass (5,359 m), the gateway to Nubra Valley. Step out at the summit for dramatic 360-degree Himalayan panoramas and a hot cup of tea at the army café.

Nubra Valley and Bactrian camel safari
Descend into the surreal Nubra Valley — a high-altitude cold desert with sand dunes. Ride double-humped Bactrian camels at Hunder dunes against a backdrop of snow peaks. Overnight in a luxury tent camp.

Sunrise at Pangong Lake — golden hour photography

Thiksey and Shey Monastery
Visit Thiksey Gompa — often compared to Potala Palace in Tibet — with a 15-metre Maitreya Buddha inside. Continue to Shey Palace and its giant copper-gold Buddha, and the ancient ruins of Shey Fort.
